It all begins with the intake valve. An intake valve allows air into the chamber. A piston is then used to compress the air, raising its temperature. The compressed air is directed through an intercooler, where its temperature is reduced, and then through an aftercooler, where it is cooled to near ambient temperature. The compressed air is then directed into the storage tank.
