Air Compressor Air/Oil Separators and Oil Demisters
Air compressor air/oil separators, also referred to as oil demisters, are critical components in compressed air systems and select vacuum pumps. These separators remove oil vapor from the compressed air after compression, allowing clean air to exit the system while returning separated oil back to the sump for continued lubrication of the airend.
Air Compressor Services supplies OEM-equivalent replacement air/oil separators designed to control oil carryover and support reliable compressor operation. This collection includes separators for rotary screw air compressors and compatible vacuum pumps from manufacturers such as Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Sullair, Quincy, Kaeser, Gardner Denver, CompAir, Sullivan-Palatek, Joy, Rotorcomp, Leroi, and Busch.
Most air compressor air/oil separators are designed for service intervals of approximately 4,000 hours or until reaching a specified differential pressure, commonly around 7–8 psi depending on the application. Excess oil downstream is often an indicator of a restricted, saturated, or failed separator element. Flange-style separators typically include flange gaskets with grounding staples to reduce the risk of static discharge, while cartridge and spin-on styles are supplied with the required o-rings or gaskets for proper installation.
All air compressor separators offered by Air Compressor Services are manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications and are guaranteed to fit when matched by part number.
