Sullair compressors are all designed with a sump tank, also called a receiver tank, which houses the air-oil separator. Due to the amount of air flow, pressure, and temperatures that the separators are exposed to, they come complete with high performance gaskets and grounding staples. The grounding staples that are on the flange of the separator cartridge are used to reduce the risk of static electric fires. Once the air is compressed, the Sullair separator will pull out the oil mist that is mixed with the air preventing oil loss. As the oil is sucked from the bottom of the separator it flows through a strainer or the Sullair genesis line filter, in order to protect the air end from foreign particles and catastrophic failure.
