ACS Wins Best Places to Work for the Fourth Consecutive Year
Air Compressor Services has once again earned recognition as one of the "Best Places to Work in South Carolina" for medium-sized businesses (companies with between 50 and 249 employees). This marks the nineteenth annual Best Places to Work in South Carolina program in partnership with Best Companies Group, and the fourth consecutive year ACS has been named to the list.
"Winning Best Places to Work in South Carolina for the fourth year in a row is more than an award," said ACS Founder Neal Shade. “It’s a testament to the incredible people who make ACS what it is every day. We’ve always believed that if we take care of our team, they’ll take great care of our customers, and this recognition affirms that commitment. I couldn’t be prouder of the culture we’re building together.”
This statewide survey-and-awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in South Carolina. The 2025 list includes 108 companies across the state.
Eligibility requirements include being a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity, being a publicly or privately held business, having a facility in South Carolina, employing a minimum of 15 people in the state, and being in business for at least one year.
The two-part selection process includes evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, systems, and demographics, and conducting an anonymous employee survey to assess workplace satisfaction and culture. Best Companies Group manages the full process from data analysis to final rankings. The ranked companies will be honored at the Best Places to Work awards ceremony in August at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

I suppose we could call ourselves “Air Compressor Oil” or “Air Compressor Parts.” But why limit ourselves to mere segments of what we sell? Sure, we could tell you that in addition to servicing air compressors we also sell parts and oil. Just know that we eat sleep and breathe compressors. We are trying to stock our warehouse full of parts you need. In fact, we have added 6 warehouses just in the past 2 years to keep up with our customer demand. If we don't have it we will source it.
